SB 221 - This act provides that after a person accused of committing a crime has been committed to the Department of Mental Health due to lack of mental fitness to stand trial, the legal counsel for the Department shall have standing to participate in hearings regarding involuntary medications for the accused.

This act is identical to HB 945 (2017), provisions of CCS/SCS#2/SB 128 (2017), provisions of SCS/HCB 1 (2017), and SB 1055 (2016).
