Current Bill Summary

SB 605 - This act modifies notice requirements for neighborhood organizations seeking to bring nuisance abatement actions in certain cities and counties.

This act repeals a provision of current law, which prohibits neighborhood organizations from bringing nuisance actions if the organization has certain interests in real estate in the city or county in which the nuisance property is located.

This act adds a new definition of "neighborhood organization" for purposes of nuisance abatement actions in Kansas City.

This act is similar to SB 229 (2015).
