Current Bill Summary

SB 601 - Under this act, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is included as an occupational disease for purposes of workers' compensation laws. In the case of firefighters and emergency medical technicians that have been diagnosed with PTSD, there is a rebuttable presumption that his or her occupational exposure was the prevailing factor in causing both the resulting medical condition and disability.
