HCS/HB 129 - This act imposes fees on inmates using medical services at a correctional center.

Under this act, inmates must be assessed a 50-cent per visit fee for an on-site non-emergency medical examination or treatment.

In addition, inmates must be charged a copay fee except for certain medical services, which are specified in the act.

Inmates considered indigent who do not have funds and are unable to pay the fees will not be charged.

This act authorizes the Department of Corrections to promulgate rules to implement the provisions of the act.
