SB 489 - Currently, certain publication entities and institutions that are regulated by the Department of Insurance, Financial Institutions and Professional Registration, the Division of Credit Unions, or the Division of Finance are exempt from unlawful merchandising practices. This act further exempts such entities from civil actions brought under provisions of law relating to unlawful merchandising practices.

This act is identical to a provision contained in HB 256 (2015).
