Current Bill Summary

SB 598 - This act modifies the definition of renewable energy credit to include electricity that has been generated from renewable energy sources and that has been sold as power to Missouri energy consumers. A renewable energy credit may be used for up to three years after creation so long as the energy associated with each unused credit was generated after January 1, 2011. This act also repeals the exemption for electric corporations to pay certain fees and rebates to customers if they achieve an amount of eligible renewable energy.

This act is identical to SB 400 (2013).
