SS/HCR 25 - This resolution establishes the Joint Interim Committee on St. Louis Metropolitan Statistical Area Governance and Taxation Committee. The resolution directs the interim committee to select an entity to conduct an independent study to research governance and taxation issues in the St. Louis metropolitan area, review the completed study, analyze the issues, and recommend legislation for 2014. The resolution directs the committee to report its recommendations and findings to the General Assembly by December 21, 2013.
If the committee does not have the independent study by September 1, 2013, the committee must perform its own investigation and report to the General Assembly by December 31, 2013.
