Current Bill Summary

SB 356 - This act provides that the liability of a manufacturer or remanufacturer will terminate if a product is materially altered by a person not in the business of selling the product or using it as a component.

This act does not apply to actions arising out of a defective or unsafe condition of any improvement to real property.

This act is similar to SCS/SB 379 (2011), SCS/SB 626 (2012) and HB 1655 (2012).
