Current Bill Summary

SB 351 - This act provides that a Supreme, Appellate or Circuit Court judge who is appointed shall be disqualified from hearing a case when an attorney or a party to the case being heard served on the Appellate or one of the Circuit Judicial Commissions that nominated the judge. Judges are also disqualified if a party's attorney is currently employed by a firm who also employs a person who served on the Appellate or one of the Circuit Judicial Commissions who nominated the judge.
