Current Bill Summary

SB 301 - Currently, in determining the prevailing wage, wages may be used from two or more counties adjacent to the county where the work is performed and the Department of Labor may consider collective bargaining agreements. This act requires that the wage rate most commonly paid in the county where the work is performed shall determine the rate of each occupational title. If no work has been performed, the rate shall be the wage rate most commonly paid for that title within all Missouri counties adjacent to the county where the work is performed. If no work has been performed in those counties, the rate shall be the rate established by the collective bargaining agreement covering that county and the work that falls within that occupational title.

In determining the prevailing hourly rate of wages, the department shall accept and consider information regarding local wage rates submitted in either paper or electronic formats.
