Senate Committee Substitute

SCS/HB 388 - Under current law, the attending physician must make available to any patient the advantages, disadvantages, and risks associated with a breast implantation procedure prior to the operation. The information is provided by the Department of Health and Senior Services in a standardized written summary. Under the terms of this act, the Department of Health and Senior Services will no longer have to provide this information in a standardized written summary format, but the attending physician will have to advise the patient of the advantages, disadvantages, and risks associated with the procedure.
