Current Bill Summary

SB 182 – This act prohibits a person from using or attempting to use a false or misleading degree, as described in the act, in connection with admission to an institution of higher education, or in connection with any business, employment, occupation, profession, trade, or public office. A violation of this act is a Class C misdemeanor.

This act is substantially similar to a provision contained in HCS/SS/SB 291 (2009) and in SS/SCS/HCS/HB 62 (2009).
