SCS/HCS/HB 1649 - Under this act, the director of the Department of Revenue is prohibited from issuing a driver's license to persons who are required to register as sex offenders.

Under this act, driver's and nondriver's licenses issued to registered sex offenders shall expire after a one-year duration or shorter. A one-year license issued to a registered sex offender shall cost $7.50.

Under the act, the Highway Patrol must supply the Department of Revenue with the names, addresses, and Social Security numbers of registered sex offenders.
