HCS/HB 2082 - This act modifies provisions regulating the licensing of barbers and cosmetologists.

A provision requiring a copy of sanitary rules to be posted in barber shops and colleges is repealed.

Inactive licenses are established for barbers and cosmetologists.

Class CH hairdressing licenses shall not be issued after August 28, 2008 but those holding that license shall still be recognized as holding a valid license.

The act moves a provision requiring the Board of Barber Examiners to keep a register of licensees from Chapter 328 regulating barbers to a section in Chapter 329 which combines the Board of Cosmetology and Barber Examiners.

Provisions relating to the defunct boards are repealed.
