HB 1463 Prohibits the admission of unlawfully present aliens to public institutions of higher education

SCS/HCS#2/HB 1463 - Unlawfully present aliens are barred from attending all public universities in the state.

Prior to the approval of appropriations, each registrar shall send certification that they have not knowingly enrolled aliens to the Coordinating Board of Higher Education. The Coordinating Board shall then send the certification, within 30 days, to the Governor, the pro tem of the Senate, the speaker of the House, and the appropriations committee of each body.

This act is similar to SB 348 (2007), SB 626 (2007), SB 1230 (2008), and SB 858 (2008).
