SCS/HB 1570 - This act provides that the Missouri Supreme Court standards for guardians ad litem in Missouri juvenile and family court matters, as approved by the supreme court on September 17, 1996, shall be adopted statewide. Each judicial circuit shall devise a plan for implementation which takes into account the needs of the circuit as well as the negative impact that excessive caseloads have upon effectiveness of counsel. Such plans shall be approved by the supreme court, and fully implemented by July 1, 2011. The act also adds the services of guardians ad litem to the priority list of services for which moneys in the family services and justice fund shall be spent. ALEXA PEARSON
