HB 1905 - Subject to appropriations, the family support division is authorized to assist needy elderly individuals to obtain supplemental assistance from the state through a supplemental food stamp program. Households comprised of one or two individuals who are at least 65 years of age and who qualify for food stamps under the federal Food Stamp Program will be entitled to supplemental assistance. The benefit combined with aid the individual receives under the federal program cannot exceed $30 a month. Qualified households of two eligible elderly individuals cannot receive combined assistance exceeding $60 per month.

The provisions of this act will expire on August 28, 2008.
