SB 1246 - This act gives Clay County park rangers the same powers given to other peace officers of the state. The rangers can enforce any state law or local regulation within the boundaries of a park. The act also requires park rangers to be under the supervision of the county commission and not under the supervision of the county sheriff.

This act is similar to HB 2117 (2000).
