HB 1000 (Truly Agreed) Changes the composition of congressional districts

SCS/HS/HCS/HB 1000 - This act establishes congressional districts based on the results of the 2000 decennial census. These new districts will be used for the elections of representatives to Congress beginning with election to the 108th Congress.

The existing districts enacted in 1991 are not repealed. Section 128.346, RSMo, is revised to clarify that the 1991 districts will be used for all elections through the 107th Congress, including any special elections held for that Congress. The 1991 districts will no longer be valid after the 107th Congress.

SCS/SB 586 also establishes new congressional districts.
