Current Bill Summary

SB 517 - This act requires the Commissioner of Administration to compile a list of existing state funds and to determine which funds, as of July 1, 2000, contain moneys which have lapsed. Lapsed moneys are moneys which were not used for the purposes for which appropriations were made.

This act requires the transfer of 25% of such lapsed moneys to the Taxpayers Surplus Trust Fund for distributions pursuant to Missouri Constitution, Article X, which may be required by Flotron v. Wilson.

This act contains a contingent effective date.
