SCS/SB 198 - This act authorizes Ripley, Oregon or Shannon counties to impose an up to one percent local sales tax for law enforcement purposes. Current law allows certain counties to impose an up to one-half of one percent local sales tax for law enforcement purposes.

The act is similar to SB 609 (2000).
