Current Bill Summary

SB 189 - This act will require that any person or device making a telephone call providing political information identify:

(1) The entity making the call; and (2) The person or ballot measure on behalf of which the call is being made.

A person or entity making or paying for such calls shall file its name, address and telephone number with the Missouri Ethics Commission.

Any person violating the provisions of this act shall be subject to the penalty provisions in Section 130.081, RSMo (Campaign Finance Disclosure Law).
