Current Bill Summary

HCS/SB 130 - This act requires the placement of warning signs in establishments licensed to sell or serve alcoholic beverages. The warning sign must be conspicuously displayed and must state that drinking alcoholic beverages during pregnancy may cause birth defects. Violations may be reported to the supervisor of liquor control and a warning must be issued to the licensee, however, violation may not be considered a crime.

This act is substantially similar to SCS/SB 685 (2000).
